Today marks the birthday of one Kevin Nash. It is also the 18th anniversary of WCW's Bash at the Beach 2000 Pay-Per-View. Kevin Nash had a match on this event so you can see where this is going. Looking at the card unless I decide one day I really want to punish myself I may not return to this event for a while. This was during Goldberg's heel turn. Yeah, it happened, I'm sorry for reminding you all. For some reason Scott Hall's contract is on the line in this match, Kevin Nash is representing the NWO Wolfpac and I feel their theme tune may be the highlight of this match. He has an exchange with Scott Steiner on his way to the ring, getting the backstage treatment like his opponent used to. Tony Schiovane, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary tonight. The crowd is shown as Goldberg's music plays. He walks to the ring with Scott Hall's contract tucked in his trunks. He slams it on the commentary table and gets in the ring.
GOLDBERG VS. KEVIN NASH
WCW Bash at the Beach (9th July 2000)
They stall as Mark Madden explains this is the building where the Outsiders brought in Hulk Hogan to join the NWO at 4 years ago at this event. They lock up and Goldberg pushes Nash back into the corner, the referee makes him break but Goldberg gets in some rights. Nash drives his knee into Goldberg's gut (that's for Scott Hall!) and an elbow to the top of the head. Goldberg eats more knee strikes in the corner, Kevin Nash steps into a back elbow. Kevin Nash places Goldberg for the second and chokes Goldberg in the corner, Goldberg gets hold of Nash's ankle and trips the other leg. Goldberg takes Nash down with a hip throw and covers for 2, Nash gets to his feet as Goldberg jabs at him and drops him with a sidekick. Goldberg tells the fans what he thinks of them but Nash hits a chokeslam and covers for a nearfall. Scott Steiner comes down to the ring as Goldberg gets out of a neckbreaker attempt, Goldberg has Nash in a chinlock as Scott tries to motivate him with Scott Hall's contract. Goldberg kicks at Nash in the corner but lets Steiner take his eyes off the match. Kevin Nash gets sent into the corner but Goldberg runs into the big boot. Kevin Nash hits a sidewalk slam for 2. Kevin Nash gets to his feet in the corner, but Goldberg's in the position for a Spear... Nash sidesteps it sending Goldberg into the corner. Kevin Nash signals for a Jackknife but Scott Steiner attacks him from behind! Steiner eats a big boot for turning on Nash but Nash turns around into a Spear. Goldberg hits a Jackhammer to finish the match.
WINNER: GOLDBERG
WCW in 2000. There's nothing more to say. They hit a few moves and overbooked 60% of a 2-minute match, ending with a beatdown after the match. – WORKRATE: 0.5/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 0/5 OVERALL 0.5/10
Scott Steiner locks in a Steiner Recliner so Nash can see Goldberg ripping up Hall's contract. Steiner and Goldberg leave with the female valet.
