They exchange rights with Bret Hart coming out on top. He strings some offense together sending Austin into the corner and stomps him. Austin rakes the eyes and showers Bret with rights and flips the bird to the crowd.
Steve Austin sends Bret into the opposite corner but Bret turns it around with a clothesline. JR makes a bald joke and Bret headbutts Austin, an inverted atomic drop leaves Austin in position for another clothesline that drops him to the mat. Austin is brought back to his feet and has his face raked across the top rope. Austin goes to the corner and low blows Bret out of the referee's sight before scraping his boot across Hitman's skull. Steve Austin stomps a mudhole into Bret in the corner and locks in the Million Dollar Dream but Bret Hart is able to use the turnbuckles to bounce back and cover Austin 1, 2, no! Austin chokes Bret across the middle rope but misses the splash, sending himself halfway across the ring. Bret Hart tags out to Neidhart, his original Hart Foundation partner Jim Neidhart boots at Austin and sends him across the ring. Austin ducks a clothesline, hitting a poor Lou Thesz press on the return. Ken Shamrock gets the tag, Neidhart mocks his martial arts experience and ducks a roundhouse kick but the second one knocks him down, Shamrock gets the ankle lock but Brian Pillman saves Neidhart. Shamrock catches Neidhart with an arm drag and keeps hold of Neidhart's arm. Neidhart strikes his way out with his forearm but Shamrock blocks a hip toss and counters into a roll-up for 1. We see the Hart Family in the front row as Pillman gets the tag. He locks up with Shamrock but goes down with an arm drag. Shamrock forces Pillman into the corner. Pillman hits Shamrock with a right hand and rakes the eyes to get out of the corner and swing the momentum, going back to the face as they move against the ropes. Brian Pillman spits in Shamrock's face then chops at his chest. Ken Shamrock gets sent from corner to corner, staggering out into a backbreaker. Pillman covers, dropping Shamrock's hand and claiming he tapped out. Shamrock kicks out at 2 and the match continues. Pillman slaps Shamrock's face on the mat and grinds his boot on Shamrock's face. Ken Shamrock is brought to his feet and Pillman sends him corner to corner again but this time Shamrock explodes out with a lariat. Ken Shamrock hits Pillman with rights and a belly to belly suplex! Double change to Owen Hart and Goldust, a collar-elbow tie up forces Goldust into the corner, Owen hits right hands but an irish whip is reversed. Owen walks out of the corner into a back body drop but catches Goldust with an enziguri for a nearfall. They lock up again and Goldust rakes the eyes. He sends Owen's head into the turnbuckle and mounts for 10 punches as the fans chant for Owen. Well, I thought they were, JR corrects me as they're chanting “Austin sucks” causing him to leave the apron momentarily and us to miss Hawk tagging in. He slams Owen to the mat and hits a standing leg drop for a nearfall. Hawk slams Owen a second time, following up with a fist drop this time. Hawk climbs to the top rope and hits a splash for a nearfall. Hawk sends Owen across the ring but there's no one there for a dropkick. Owen locks in a sharpshooter but Animal immediately breaks it up right in front of the referee. British Bulldog gets the tag in and hits a delayed vertical suplex for a nearfall. Some would mock JR for his reaction but Hawk's a big guy too, that was no easy move. British Bulldog hits the Running Powerslam on Hawk but Goldust breaks up the pin. Animal gets the tag, as does Bret on the opposite side of the ring. They lock up and Animal easily powers Bret back into the corner, he looks like he might break it clean but drives his head into Bret's midsection repeatedly. Bret Hart gets sent across the ring but gets his boot up, stunning Animal. Animal drops with a clothesline out of the corner. He backs off and tags in Goldust, as JR talks about their fathers. Bret Hart breaks a test of strength with a kick to Goldust's gut and drops him with an elbow to the back of the head. Bret puts Goldust in the Tree of Woe in Hart Foundation's corner for an ambush. Goldust's partners try to fend them off but get sent away from the melee as the referee tries to regain control. I'm not sure how much help or hindrance they were, really. Owen Hart hits a backbreaker and sends Goldust into the turnbuckles. Goldust sidesteps a charge and Owen's shoulder hits the ring post. Animal tags in and lay the boots to Owen in the corner. He sends Owen into the ropes but Owen ducks a clothesline, hitting a spinning heel kick! Owen Hart climbs to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick, kipping straight back to his feet! Animal sends Owen Hart across the ring and catches him in a powerbomb. Owen runs into a snap powerslam and Animal signals for the Doomsday Device. Jim Neidhart breaks up the cover and the match breaks into a brawl. Steve Austin drags Owen away from the crowd and wraps his knee around the ring post. He taunts Bruce Hart before grabbing a chair to continue the assault until Bret runs Austin off. Owen is brought over to his corner and he tags out to Neidhart, seemingly leaving his team without a member. Austin cheap shots Anvil from a test of strength, booting him in the gut, Jim Neidhart reverses an irish whip and catches Austin in a bearhug. Neidhart walks Austin over to The Hart Foundation for another ambush. Ken Shamrock is the only one to help Austin and the fans react like he burnt their flag. Austin fights out of the corner as we see Owen at the top of the stage. Austin brings his former Hollywood Blondes teammate in the ring the hard way and drags him around the ring by the tights. Pillman eats a right from each member of Austin's team but ducks one from Austin. Austin hits an early Stone Cold Stunner on Pillman. Bret Hart is on the floor, more like a manager and he trips Austin. He wraps Austin's leg around the ring post as direct revenge for Owen. Bret hits Austin's knee with a fire extinguisher and locks in a Figure Four around the ring post for good measure! Hawk attacks Bret, assisting Austin so he can crawl to the corner. British Bulldog is now the legal man for The Hart Foundation and he stomps Austin all the way to the corner but can't stop Austin tagging out to Hawk. Austin drops to the floor as Bulldog and Hawk go nowhere with a lock-up. Hawk slams Bulldog and climbs to the top rope but gets crotched on the top rope, Bulldog shoves Hawk down to the mat and covers for 2 as Austin tries to stop referees bothering him on the outside. Jim Neidhart tags in, he and Bulldog drop Hawk with a double clothesline and the wishbone. He tags out to Bret, or maybe not as he follows Hawk, not able to stop him tagging in his Legion of Doom partner.
Animal wants a test of strength with Neidhart, Animal forces Neidhart to his knees but Neidhart gets a second wind and sends Animal into the corner. This time Neidhart does tag out to The Hitman for the classic backbreaker – elbow drop combination, Bret Hart covers for 2. Bret hits Animal with rights and sends him across the ring but ducks too early, Animal kicks Bret's chest and tags out to Ken Shamrock. Ken Shamrock trips Bret and pisses about looking for a submission on the leg, Pillman attacks Shamrock from behind and Bret hits a falling headbutt to Shamrock's abdomen. Bret Hart sends Shamrock's head into the turnbuckle but Shamrock reverses an irish whip sending Bret's chest into the corner. Shamrock drops Bret and hesitates whilst holding the ankle again then allows Bret to his feet. Bret Hart knees Shamrock in the gut and sends him into Pillman's boot in the corner. Bret Hart dumps Shamrock to the floor where Pillman sends him into an announce table, Hawk attacks Pillman drawing in Bulldog and Animal. Hawk gets sent into the ring steps by Pillman and Neidhart as Shamrock gets sent back in the ring. Bret Hart hits a side Russian leg sweep in the ring and covers but Goldust breaks it up. British Bulldog attacks Shamrock in the corner and Bret's on the apron so there was a phantom tag somewhere. Ken Shamrock catches Bulldog with a low blow. Goldust gets a hot tag. Goldust drops Bulldog with a clothesline.
British Bulldog goes corner to corner, Goldust hits the bulldog headlock which Davey Smith flips over for, made worse by JR's Dusty Rhodes impression on commentary. Brian Pillman interrupts a Curtain Call attempt but Bulldog can't capitalize. Goldust gets to the top rope but British Bulldog trips him and barely hits a superplex from the top rope, that was scary. British Bulldog covers but Hawk breaks it up as we see Austin limp down the ramp. He climbs on the apron and gets the tag from Goldust as Bulldog tags in Bret Hart! The Austin and Bret slugfest part 2 leaves Bret in the corner, Austin stomps at Bret and flips the bird then sends him across the ring sternum first again. Austin hits a suplex for 2. Austin sends Bret into the ropes but ducks early, Bret hits an ugly neckbreaker, a standard backbreaker follows and Bret climbs to the middle rope, an elbow drop gets Bret a nearfall. The Hitman sends Austin across the ring into a sleeperhold but Austin counters with a Stunner, 1, 2, no! Bret Hart gets sent across the ring, Austin lifts him but Bret lands on his feet, he dumps Austin with a double-leg takedown but Animal interrupts the sharpshooter with an early clothesline. Stone Cold locks in a sharpshooter on Bret but Owen returns to the match, dropping Austin and saving his team! Bret tags in his younger brother and he unloads rights on Austin. Austin is sent into the ropes but Owen ducks early giving Austin time to kick him. Hart gets clotheslined over the top rope to the floor.
