Vampiro takes us to a sit-down interview he had with Lucha Underground's newest resident Badass, Cage. Vampiro asks about Cage's attitude. Cage doesn't give a shit, he's here to win the belt. That goes to the best Luchador, not the most liked. He took out the champion, Prince Puma last week because he's not going to wait in line when he knows he's the best in the company. It doesn't matter how long he's been there, everyone knows he's a machine including Konnan and now, Prince Puma. Vampiro puts over Cage as the interview ends. When we return from commercial Super Fly is in the ring waiting for his opponent, Pentagon Jr. He doesn't have to wait long as Pentagon makes his way down for the first time since Aztec Warfare when his brittle alliance with Chavo Guerrero Jr went to shit. Matt Striker and Vampiro provide the commentary for this match
MATCH 2: PENTAGON JR VS. SUPER FLY
Super Fly avoids a charge in the corner but runs straight into a superkick by Pentagon. Super Fly ducks a clothesline, hitting a superkick of his own. Pentagon ducks early allowing Super Fly to roll over his back. Super Fly staggers Pentagon back with a shoulder bump, Super Fly flips back into the ring from the middle rope but lands into a lungblower by Pentagon. Pentagon covers for a quick 2 count. Pentagon kicks at Super Fly's hamstring then leans him against the ropes taking a few steps back before hitting an overhand chop. Super Fly gets sent out to the floor, another overhand chop by Pentagon helps Super Fly decide to take a walk around ringside. Pentagon kicks Super Fly as he closes the gap and lifts him on his shoulders to slam him back down to the floor. Pentagon brings the action back into the ring, hitting a superkick on Super Fly. Super Fly gets sent across the ring, they take turns ducking a clothesline but meet in the middle of the ring and both go down. Matt Striker compares it to tonight's main event as I think I see a glimpse of the mysterious woman again wearing a staff T-Shirt.
Pentagon Jr is first to his feet, keeping the momentum with a kick to Super Fly's leg. Pentagon Jr sends Super Fly into the ropes for some cardio training, Super Fly counters, finishing the sequence with an arm drag to Pentagon. Another shoulder check sends Pentagon back into the ropes, he follows Super Fly across the ring but Super Fly uses the 619 movement to evade Pentagon, sending him out to the floor. A Sasuke Special over the top to the floor gets a “holy shit” chant from the crowd before they go back in the ring. Super Fly springboards back from the middle rope, moonsaulting into a dropkick. Pentagon doesn't waste time before covering but only gets a nearfall. Pentagon Jr is frustrated and shows it as they get back on their feet. Super Fly surprises Pentagon with a bodyscissors rollup but Pentagon kicks out at 2. Super Fly had Pentagon's legs crossed which Striker explains makes it even harder to kick out. Super Fly kicks at Pentagon's legs but Pentagon catches the third kick and spins him around. Pentagon Jr ducks a clothesline, coming back with a Slingblade (Matt Striker gave Hiroshi Tanahashi a shout out for that move) and covering but only getting 2. Vampiro and Striker think that Pentagon not hooking the leg made all the difference there, Super Fly slaps him as they get to their feet. Pentagon is quick to reply with a spinning back kick to the gut. Pentagon hits the Package Piledriver for the win.
WINNER: PENTAGON JR
Super Fly got more than I thought he would in this match, it was back and forth. He got some nice comebacks in a match that was his to lose. Pentagon had to hit him with a slingblade, a fireman's carry into a facebuster on the floor and the Package Piledriver to put him away. WORKRATE: 2.25/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 2.5/5 OVERALL: 4.75/10
Pentagon Jr grabs a microphone after the match cutting a promo in Spanish, luckily there are subtitles. He calls Chavo Guerrero Jr a fraud for not being able to help him then claims there's someone that will.
