When we return the ring is full of Luchadores again, including the guy that attacked Johnny Mundo last week. After some research I found out he was formerly B-Boy in CZW, which explains why I didn't recognise him, not being particularly familiar with their roster. He's going as Bael in Lucha Underground. He joins Sexy Star, Pimpinela Escarlata, Famous B, Ricky Mandel, Cortez, Cisco, Mil Muertes and Johnny Mundo. Of course, that only makes nine. Chavo Guerrero Jr gets an entrance after Melissa Santos explains that this match is a Battle Royal. Sexy Star stares Chavo out all the way to the ring and goes out to the apron. Hitting Chavo with a seated senton on the floor!
MATCH 2: 10-LUCHA BOYLE HEIGHTS BATTLE ROYAL
The bell rings and the mass brawling begins in the ring as Sexy Star keeps her attention on Chavo on the outside, then throwing him to the wolves. Mundo is almost eliminated but his feet remain off the floor as the woman in leather appears again. Immediately following that Famous B is eliminated by Pimpelina Escarlita. Escarlita then sends Castro and Cisco across the ring with a Lucha arm drag. They recover quickly enough to help Bael eliminate Ricky Landel from the match. Pimpelina Escarlita has Mundo by the hand and climbs to the top rope, but Muertes knocks Mundo, sending Escarlita off balance. Muertes hits Escarlita with a spear and sends them over the top. Sexy Star locks on to Chavo again, jumping on his back, but gets sent to the mat. Chavo holds on to Sexy Star's hair, but she breaks free and hits a Codebreaker. Chavo sends Sexy Star overhead but she lands on the apron. Hitting Chavo with a shoulder block through the ropes. Chavo catches a crossbody attempt and dumps Sexy Star out to the floor. Johnny Mundo gets triple-teamed by the Cartel-type guys but holds on to the top rope to avoid elimination. He stays on the apron, but they constantly hit him with rights. Castro knocks Mundo down and celebrates but Mundo's toes are keeping him in it! Mundo brings himself back up on the apron, fighting back. Cisco takes a kick to the head. Mundo blocks an attempt from Castro and eliminates him with an awesome bodyscissors!
That's two words I never thought I'd put together. Chavo dumps Cisco, but Bael is right there to blindside him. Chavo reverses an irish whip sending Bael into a spear by Muertes. Muertes eliminates Bael. Chavo and Mundo team up on the biggest man left but quickly turn on each other. Mundo sends Chavo across the ring and lifts him overhead, assisting in a dropkick on Muertes inadvertently. Chavo ducks a clothesline but runs back into a superkick. Chavo avoids running into a dropkick by grabbing the top rope and catapults Mundo over the top, but Mundo still keeps himself above ground. Catrina is talking to Muertes on the far side, and he rejoins the action now, attempting a german suplex on Chavo. Chavo won't release the top rope though, Mundo sunset flips over both opponents, assisting Muertes with the german! Chavo landed roughly on that. Mundo has the best of Muertes until Catrina tries to trip him from the floor. That distracts Vampiro and Striker.
Muertes catches a kick and flips Mundo back over the top rope, but Mundo lands on the apron. Mundo kicks Muertes through the ropes and sends him across the ring with a springboard dropkick. Mundo brings his attention back to Chavo who reverses an irish whip sending Mundo into the corner. Chavo is crotched on the top rope, and Mundo hits a springboard kick to eliminate him as I try to figure out which landing would be worse. Again the mysterious woman is shown as Mundo and Muertes slug it out. Mundo gets behind Muertes, but Muertes picks up speed and splits Mundo in half with a spear. Muertes tries to dump Mundo out of the ring, but Mundo's feet are like magnets to the apron. He has hold of one of Muertes' legs, trying to bring him out to the apron too. Muertes breaks free and picks up some speed, but that allows Mundo to get back in the ring. Mundo hits Muertes with a forearm and clothesline, but he doesn't leave his feet until Mundo hits a jumping kick.
Johnny Mundo gets the dead weight of Muertes onto the apron but Muertes fights back with rights. Muertes brings Mundo over but Mundo gets some kicks to the midsection. They fight on the apron, and Muertes gets the clear upper hand, pummeling Johnny to the mat. Mundo's legs are wrapped around the bottom rope in desperation. Mil Muertes tries to untie Mundo's legs from inside the ring, but that allows Mundo to get to his feet. Mundo slides back in the ring under the bottom rope, kicking Muertes in the head. End of the World by Mundo hits Muertes' knees, causing Mundo to use the ropes for balance, Muertes clotheslines Mundo over the top one last time to win the match.
WINNER: MIL MUERTES
Just from looking at who was in the match, you could tell who was getting what. They trimmed the fat early and got all the major stories in. Mundo was resilient and only eliminated on a move that would never get him the win in this type of match anyway. Muertes continues to look like a monster and Sexy Star isn't forgetting how much she wants to kill Chavo. All in all a decent, clean match that did its job. Nothing spectacular.
