Back to the taping and Chavo Guerrero Jr meets Konnan in the back. Konnan warns Chavo that the people in Mexico aren't happy with what went down to Blue Demon Jr, and they won't be happy when they hear the same with Mascarita Sagrada. He tells Chavo to become a ghost. Chavo turns back around and goes to walk off, but sees Mil Muertes. There's a silent stare before he goes off, leaving Catrina to talk for him. She tells Chavo soon he'll be owned by Mil Muertes before leaving. Ricky Mandel is already in the ring as we come back to ringside, he's from Venice Beach California, and Striker says the last wrestler from Venice Beach did very well. So there's been no one else since Hulk Hogan or Sting? Mil Muertes enters with Catrina as we get an interesting video package giving Muertes the backstory of being a young survivor of an Earthquake in Mexico City. Yikes... It also somehow involves the stone he and Catrina bring to the ring.
MATCH 2: MIL MUERTES VS. RICKY MANDEL
Ricky Mandel looks nervous, and I can't blame him. He avoids a lockup attempt and a second one before grabbing a waistlock. That's not an issue for Muertes as he elbows Mandel in the head and sends him to the mat. Ricky Mandel avoids a powerslam and peppers Muertes with right hands. A running clothesline stumbles Muertes slightly, but a spear makes all the effort futile. Catrina cheers on Muertes as he beats Mandel around the ring, sending him into turnbuckles and brutalising him with strikes. Catrina gets a cheap shot from the outside, using Mandel's hair to hot shot him off the middle rope. Mandel tries to fight from his feet, but a clubbing blow puts a stop to that. Muertes sends Mandel across the ring, but he avoids a charge and Muertes stumbles into a dropkick finally sending him off his feet. It's not going to be anywhere near enough though as Muertes is on his feet in the corner, he lifts Mandel over who lands on the apron. Mandel blocks a right hand and hits three of his own, probably still not doing comparable damage. Mandel climbs to the top rope but leaps into a right hand by Muertes! Mil Muertes hits a flatliner and covers for the victory.
WINNER: MIL MUERTES
I like the fact that they are quickly establishing Mil Muertes as a monster on the show. I have no clue who Ricky Mandel is or if he is of any significance in California and that's why he got so much time on top (I know it was only strikes, but this match should have been Mil Muertes kills again. Especially with Chavo's beatdown taking the attention away from his debut last week. – WR 2/5 PE 1/5 OVR 3/10
Cortez Castro and Mr Cisco are standing guard outside Dario Cuerto's office. Johnny Mundo wants to speak with the boss, but they want the password. So he beats them up. He demands a match with Big Ryck next week from Dario Cuerto, who accepts. Mundo says after Big Ryck, Cuerto becomes his target.
