CHARLOTTE VS. NATALYA (NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP)
Charlotte accompanied by her father, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, and Bret “The Hitman” Hart is in Natalya's corner for this very important match. They agressively lock up to start the match, and Natalya takes Charlotte down for a very quick nearfall. Natalya gets the crowd behind her and gets a standing waistlock on Charlotte. Natalya drops to her knees and takes down both of Charlotte's legs, before transitioning into a front facelock, Charlotte reverses it into a hammerlock, but Natalya makes it to her feet and reverses into an armlock, grounding Charlotte. Charlotte breaks it with a headscissors and we get a stand off for a moment. Collar-elbow tie up allows Nattie to take Charlotte down with a headlock. Charlotte gets back to her feet, but Natalya drops to a knee, to try and keep Charlotte near the ground. Charlotte uses her position to roll Nattie off. The two women circle and we get another collar-elbow tie up. Nattie gets control of Charlotte's left arm, but Charlotte cartwheels out and reverses it, taking Natalya down. Natalya finally gets back up to one knee, and rolls out of it, shades of her uncle Owen. She takes Charlotte down with a single leg and starts grinding on Charlotte's knee. Charlotte clubs Natalya in the back and tries to pull her hair, but Natalya has it locked in tight. Charlotte frees herself with her free leg and catches a kick from Natalya. Charlotte takes too long though and Natalya gets a rolling bodyscissors, before locking up Charlotte's legs, but Charlotte grabs the head of Natalya and locks in a chinlock. Natalya makes her way to her feet as Charlotte moves into a side headlock, then rolls out of it. Natalya locks a standing front facelock on straight away, and synches it in so Charlotte drops to her knees. Charlotte finds an opening and gets a front facelock of her own, but Natalya counters into an arm wrench. Charlotte reverses the irish whip and goes prone. She leapfrogs Natalya but gets caught with a wheelbarrow sunset flip for a close nearfall.
Natalya locks in a bodyscissors with Charlotte looking straight at her father. Charlotte tries to release Natalya's grip, but Natalya rolls her up for another nearfall. Back to the bodyscissors, but Charlotte is able to turn over and start some ground and pound on Natalya! Natalya reverses into an armbar but Charlotte quickly scrambles for the rope break. Smart move when Natalya was trained at the Dungeon. Charlotte's ready for Nattie with a strike, but Natalya hits her back. Natalya grabs a waistlock and rolls Charlotte up for 2. Charlotte quickly back to her feet though and she meets Natalya with a knee to the gut. Another to the back sets up a discuss chop causing Natalya to be “Woo”'d by the fans and Naitch. Bret Hart tries not to laugh at Flair as Natalya hits a knife edge chop to Charlotte. Charlotte reverses an irish whip but Nattie floats over. Charlotte turns Nattie around and sandwiches her in the corner before hitting her with back elbows. Nattie jumps on Charlotte's back but Charlotte hits a backpack stunner in the middle of the ring for another nearfall. Immediate second cover also gets 2, and Charlotte rams Natalya's head into the mat before sending her into the corner. Stomps are followed up by Natalya being choked with Charlotte's boot. Charlotte brings Natalya out of the corner and slams her into the mat for a nearfall as we get a replay of the backpack stunner. Charlotte gets a figure four necklock, and adds more damage to it by rolling over and hitting Natalya with the skullfucker. Natalya tries to reach above her for an opening, but Charlotte pulls back on her fingers. Natalya tries to escape, but Charlotte able to roll through and slams Natalya hard into the mat for another close nearfall.
Charlotte brings Natalya back to her feet and locks in an abdominal stretch. Sharp elbow by Charlotte punctuates the hold. Charlotte able to reverse it, and she stretches Charlotte's far leg too for added pressure. Charlotte almost breaks free so Natalya goes for a backslide but Charlotte rolls through and hits a dropkick! 1, 2, NO! Charlotte sends Natalya into the turnbuckle chest first, then kicks her in the chest. Nattie though able to get out of the corner, and she explodes out with a butterfly suplex and a clothesline!Natalya runs over Charlotte then hits her basement dropkick before getting a close nearfall. Natalya sends Charlotte into the turnbuckle, and she goes over to the apron. Natalya hits a forearm knocking Charlotte down. Natalya tries to follow but Charlotte grabs her ankle and swings her off the apron, and she begins to favour her left knee. Charlotte rolls Natalya back in the ring and covers for another 2. Charlotte goes up to the top rope, she misses the moonsault! Natalya slowly gets to her feet and hits a running discuss clothesline for a nearfall. Natalya goes straight for the sharpshooter! Charlotte tries to edge to the ropes..... Natalya drags her back to the middle of the ring! Charlotte looks at her dad, screaming in agony before she rolls through and counters with the figure four leglock! Nattie tries to reverse the pressure, but they end up rolling out of the ring, forcing Charlotte to break the hold. Natalya falls to the floor, and is slow to get back up. Charlotte stalks her and kicks Natalya's leg out from underneath her. Sending her into the steel steps, knee first. Charlotte gets Natalya back in the ring at 6. Charlotte looks to lock the figure four back in, but instead looks at Bret Hart and locks in the sharpshooter! Natalya crawls to the ropes, but Charlotte drags her back to the middle of the ring. Natalya eventually rolls through to break the hold and tries to apply her own sharpshooter, but Charlotte kicks her away and hits the Bow Down to the Queen for the championship.
WINNER: CHARLOTTE (NEW NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION)
Both women were made to look great in this match, with Charlotte staying with the veteran hold for hold, and controling a good portion of the match. Natalya's knee taking some damage became the main story for the end stretch, and both women were looking for their family's signature holds to end the match. The match kept a good pace and didn't go on for too long, I'd rate it 4.6/10
Ric Flair hugs his daughter as she celebrates in the ring. All 4 people show respect to each other after this amazing match, before we get the replay of the finish and Ric Flair's extatic reaction as Ric sheds a tear in the ring. Naitch looks like he needs a moment to calm down, before him and Charlotte go backstage, celebrating her win emotionally.
