AJ LEE (C) VS. NATALYA

 Natalya makes her way out first, Michael Cole says she hasn’t had a WWE Diva’s Championship match in 3 years. I hope that’s because of the brand split. AJ Lee is out next with Tamina Snuka.

WWE TLC 2013 (15^th December 2013)

  Natalya immediately rolls he champion up, but she kicks out at 1. They lock up, Natalya gets a headlock and takes AJ Lee down, AJ gets the headscissors as the fans are behind the champion.

  AJ Lee kicks Natalya in the midsection, taking control with a wristlock, Natalya rolls through and counters, suplexing AJ down for 1. AJ Lee puts on a hammerlock but is outwrestled, fireman’s carry into an armbar on the mat by Natalya. AJ Lee has been Divas Champion since Payback, in June. But Cole had to talk about the weather in Calgary before we could get to that information. Natalya snapmares AJ Lee down and dropkicks her in the back, AJ takes a break on the outside. Natalya follows but gets cut off by a deathstare by Tamina. AJ Lee tries to dropkick Natalya through the ropes but is caught and sent into the security wall. Natalya throws AJ Lee back in the ring, she stares down Tamina Snuka and the distraction is enough for AJ Lee to dropkick Natalya’s knee and send her to the floor from the apron. Natalya is rolled into the ring for 2 as we see AJ get sent into the barricade and Natalya get dropped from the apron.

  Natalya fights to her feet out of a chinlock but runs into a spinning kick from AJ Lee for 2. JBL just mentioned getting kicked in the head, too. AJ Lee puts on a front facelock on the mat, Natalya gets to her feet and powers AJ Lee into the corner. Natalya runs into AJ Lee’s boots in the corner, and is sent into the turnbuckle. AJ kicks Natalya in the midsection but eats shit on the running charge. Natalya tries to slam AJ Lee but gets caught in a guillotine. Natalya powers out, lifting AJ Lee overhead, AJ tries a sunset flip but Natalya rolls through and catches AJ Lee with a dropkick. Natalya knocks the champion down with clotheslines, she hits a snap suplex, then another before getting the sitour slam. Natalya puts on he Sharpshooter, AJ Lee crawls towards the ropes but gets dragged back to the middle of the ring. AJ Lee rolls through it, dropping Natalya. Tamina Snuka jumps on the apron to distract Natalya. AJ Lee puts on the Black Widow!

  Natalya is able to power out of it, she hits the discus clothesline on AJ Lee. Natalya goes back to the Sharpshooter, but AJ Lee grabs the hair and rolls Natalya up in a small package for 3.

WINNER: AJ LEE (STILL WWE Diva’s Champion)

 .This was a decent match, and really good for this era of women’s wrestling in the company. They had 2 girls that could work and just enough time for a fun sprint. They each got some time to dominate the match and Tamina Snuka did her job without detracting from it at all. It’s all you can ask for and they delivered, keeping the possibility of Natalya dethroning AJ Lee at a later date. [**¾] 5.5/10
