Chyna makes her way out first, she accepted a challenge for a
match against Jeff Jarrett but JR’s not sure if it’s a WWF Intercontinental Championship match. Jeff Jarrett makes his way out with Miss Kitty
Jim Ross and Michael Hayes are on commentary
for this match.
JEFF JARRETT VS.
CHYNA
WWF Rebellion 1999 (2nd October 1999)
Jeff Jarrett starts the match with a
kick to the midsection and right hands, Chyna reverses an irish whip but
Jarrett baseball slides behind her. It doesn’t do him any good as Chyna knocks
him down with a clothesline. Jeff Jarrett reverses an irish whip but he’s
knocked down with a shoulder tackle, Chyna runs into a back elbow in the corner
but Jarrett’s flying nothing hits a low blow as Tim White plays dumb. Jeff
Jarrett counters a Pedigree and catapults Chyna into the top turnbuckle, then
goes on the attack in the corner. Chyna is choked across the middle rope but
avoids the splash sending Jarrett’s balls into the middle rope. Chyna
lifts Jarrett in the electric chair before falling back. British Bulldog runs
in the ring and knocks Chyna down for the disqualification.
WINNER: JEFF JARRETT (Via Disqualification)
This was a bonus
match, it wouldn’t have meant much to lose it from the card but it got some
extra heat on Jarrett for his title defence later in the month and having Bulldog
cause the DQ adds to his turn and protects Chyna. She was holding her own for
the short run time. [*] 2.25/10
After the match, a crowd of referees run to the ring as the British Bulldog hits the running Powerslam on Chyna. Jeff Jarrett takes advantage,
putting her in the Figure Four Leglock as the referees are distracted.
