DINO BRAVO VS. TEXAS TORNADO

 Before the match, Marla Maples, Regis Philbin and Alex Trubek are backstage with Gene Okerlund as celebrity guests. Regis is happy to be at WrestleMania after having Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage on his show. Marla is guest timekeeper for the main event and locker room interviewer. She’s excited and “Mean” Gene says he has that effect on women. It doesn’t stop there as he calls the locker room steamy. We move on to Alex Trubek who turns it into a Jeopardy question, confusing Okerlund and throwing it back to ringside. Dino Bravo is running laps as Jimmy Hart cheers him on. Texas Tornado gets a real entrance

DINO BRAVO VS. TEXAS TORNADO

WWE WrestleMania 7 (24^th March 1991

  Dino Bravo tries to get the jump on Texas Tornado, but the Tornado has some right hands of his own.

  Texas Tornado struggles with his jacket and gets clotheslined over the top rope. Bravo follows and sticks with the strategy of punching Tornado out. Tornado’s head meets the apron and he finally gets his jacket off as Dino Bravo brings it back into the ring. Texas Tornado ducks a clothesline, he hits an atomic drop and clotheslines Dino Bravo down. Right hands by Texas Tornado before he sends Bravo into the corner. Dino Bravo staggers out into the Iron Claw, no he fights it off and cuts off Texas Tornado with a knee to the midsection. Dino Bravo chops at Tornado but is sent into the turnbuckles as Tornado reverses the irish whip. Texas Tornado runs into Bravo’s boot as Jimmy Hart is shown shouting advice through the megaphone. They whiff an inverted atomic drop and Texas Tornado is down, Dino Bravo hits an elbow drop, then another before covering. Texas Tornado kicks out at 2 so he gets sent off the ropes. Texas Tornado ducks the clothesline and a chop before running into a sidewalk slam. Dino Bravo covers again for 2. Dino Bravo hits an ax handle from the middle rope, a right hand knocks Tornado down so Bravo can go back to the middle rope, this time he’s caught in the Iron Claw! Dino Bravo goes down to one knee but fights the claw long enough to back into the ropes. Texas Tornado brings him back to the middle of the ring but he has to break the hold.

  Texas Tornado hits the ropes for the Discus Punch and covers Dino Bravo for the win.

WINNER: TEXAS TORNADO

This was a short match, it didn’t mean anything but the fans were into Texas Tornado so they made the most of the 3 minutes they got on a loaded card. The Iron Claw was really over too. [*] 2/10
