ALUNDRA BLAYZE (C) VS. LEILANI KAI

Leilani Kai makes her way out first. She is followed out by the champion, Alundra Blayze.

Vince McMahon and Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary for this match. Howard Finkel is our ring announcer and thanks to an in-ring segment earlier, has hair!

(WWF Women’s Championship)

WWF WrestleMania X (20th March 1994)

Alundra Blayze asks for a test of strength but sweeps the leg of the challenger.

Vince McMahon says “look at that” but the camera is zoomed in too far, sorry Vince. They lock up and Blayze is backed into the ropes. Leilani Kai sends her off the ropes and lets Blayze run into her. Alundra Blayze is sent into the corner but gets a sunset flip on Leilani for a quick nearfall. Alundra Blayze gets nothing on the shoulder tackle, so she hits the ropes again, crawling under Leilani Kai’s legs and appearing from the other side with a sunset flip for 2. Leilani Kai is first to her feet and she lifts the champion in a choke and drops her to the mat before a headbutt knocks Blayze down. Leilani Kai slams Blayze and hits a splash for 2. Alundra Blayze is sent off the ropes but gets a nearfall from a hurricanrana counter. A snapmare brings Alundra Blayze down to the mat, and it’s followed by another one by Kai. The champion is dumped through the ropes but Leilani Kai brings it back inside and sends her across the ring by the hair. Leilani Kai hits a butterfly suplex but only gets 2. Alundra Blayze is sent off the rope, she ducks a clothesline and knocks Leilani Kai down with one of her own. Leilani Kai tries to take a breather in the corner but Alundra Blayze stays on her with kicks to the midsection as Vince tells us it’s Blayze’s WrestleMania debut. Leilani Kai is sent off the ropes into a spinning kick, Alundra Blayze hits a suplex and covers but Leilani Kai gets her shoulder up at 2. A pair of snapmares gets another nearfall.

Leilani Kai sends Alundra Blayze off the ropes, but Blayze ducks the clothesline and hits the bridging german suplex for the win.

WINNER: ALUNDRA BLAYZE (STILL WWF Women’s Champion)

This was just wrestling moves for 3 minutes. I find it difficult to even call it a “series” or “sequence” because there seemed to be no order or flow to what they did. A complete waste of PPV time, but they couldn’t do better with the Women’s division that they had. [DUD] 0/10

The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young (although she isn't named) and Nikolai Volkoff are shown in the crowd as Alundra Blayze celebrates her win.
