earlier in the night.

They lock up and Prince Iaukea gets a side headlock, he’s sent off the ropes into a kick into the midsection, but he’s able to roll Ultimo Dragon up for a quick nearfall as Heenan criticises Iaukea for telegraphing his injury by taping the ribs. Iaukea is sent off the ropes, but counters a hip toss into a backslide for another 2 count. Ultimo Dragon runs through him with a clothesline, then knocks Prince Iaukea down with a combination of kicks. Iaukea is slammed in the ring, Dragon hits the flying nothing into Iaukea’s boot, leading to a comeback with a series of chops by the champion. Prince Iaukea sends Dragon off the ropes into another chop. Prince Iaukea continues with kicks, but Ultimo Dragon ducks one, Ultimo Dragon is sent across the ring but strikes first with more kicks to the injured ribs of Iaukea. Ultimo Dragon with a running Penalty Kick to Prince Iaukea’s midsection and he gets the anticlimactic win.
WINNER: ULTIMO DRAGON (NEW WCW Television Champion)
This wasn’t much of a match, and the finish as sensible as
it was, sucked. [* ½] 2/10.
