KEVIN GREENE VS. STEVE McMICHAEL

Steve McMichael enters first with his wife, Deborah and his briefcase. Dusty Rhodes, Tony Schiovane, and Bobby Heenan are on commentary for this match. Kevin Greene runs down to the ring and the camera almost misses his entrance. He blocks a shot from McMichael and knocks him back with a forearm. Greene vaults over the top rope, dropkicking Mongo McMichael.

The referee rings for the bell and Kevin Greene jumps on McMichael with slow forearms as a sign from the crowd blocks the view, saying “Doug Dillinger fears RF Video” Steve McMichael is able to roll Greene off of him and gets to his feet. Kevin Greene knocks him down with a clothesline from a 3-point stance, then goes back to the ground and pound. Mongo rolls him off and out of the ring for a timeout. Steve McMichael gets into a conversation with some fans at ringside before tripping Greene and sending his leg into the ring apron. Greene is dragged to the floor, Mongo stomps the knee and jaw-jacks with fans in Kevin Greene jerseys, the lady hits Steve McMichael with her handbag and I feel like I walked into a classic World of Sport episode here. “That was his momma!” - American Dream. Kevin Greene takes advantage of his mother's interference and knees McMichael in the midsection. He clubs McMichael on the back, then uses his ponytail to send his head into the side of the ring. At this point in history, they had better things to do than tell us that it's the hardest part of the ring anytime someone got within three feet of it. Steve McMichael is sent into the ring steps and Greene brings it back into the ring.

Kevin Greene makes sure his mother's OK before sliding back in the ring, but Steve McMichael cuts him off with an elbow drop. Steve McMichael goes back to the knee, for which Heenan credits his Horsemen mentality. Steve McMichael kicks Greene in the ribs “for the extra point” according to Schiovane, I'll have to take his word for it. Kevin Greene reverses an irish whip sending McMichael into the ropes, but McMichael stops his momentum and hits a neckbreaker, he covers and gets a nearfall. McMichael sends Greene off the ropes, but Greene hits the Lou Thesz press with forearms, McMichael rolls Greene off and Kevin Greene allows McMichael to his feet before charging into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker which gets Steve McMichael a nearfall. Steve McMichael chops at Greene on the mat and sends him into the corner, Steve McMichael hits him with right hands, giving us a Lex Luger grunt as he connects.

Kevin Greene fights out of the corner with forearms, switching positions with Steve McMichael, who eats 10 corner punches before walking out hitting an inverted atomic drop. Steve McMichael hits a running dropkick, knocking Greene down, and gets his third nearfall. Steve McMichael sends Greene into the corner, Greene drops to the mat and McMichael kicks him in the midsection. Steve McMichael puts on a toehold before sending Greene into the corner, McMichael unloads a barrage of punches and chokes Greene in the corner until the referee backs him up. Kevin Greene gets his boot up as McMichael closes back in, Greene lifts both boots and knocks McMichael down. Kevin Greene climbs to the top rope and hits a flying forearm. Another forearm shot as he dives for the cover, Steve McMichael gets his foot on the bottom rope, so Greene chokes him on the mat. Kevin Greene lets McMichael get to his feet and clotheslines him over the top to the floor.

Kevin Greene stomps McMichael at ringside and slams him on the crash mats. He sends McMichael back into the ring then turns his attention to Deborah, because he didn't learn from talking to Mongo's mother. McMichael tries to hit him with an elbow drop but Greene is able to avoid it this time, he vaults over the top rope, almost tripping and stomps McMichael on the mat. He sends Steve McMichael from corner to corner and sets up in a 3-point stance, taking so long McMichael avoids the charge sending Greene into the turnbuckles. McMichael clubs at his back and chokes Greene in the corner. Deborah is on the apron, which gets the referee's attention so Jeff Jarrett can run down with the loaded briefcase. Wait, when did he get that? Where did Mongo leave it? Kevin Greene pulls McMichael in the way of the briefcase shot and covers and Deborah runs off somewhere. The referee counts the three and ends this match.

WINNER: KEVIN GREENE

First thing's first, Steve McMichael's irish whip is terrible. Nothing in the match was great, barely any of it was good but onlt a couple of spots stand out, the dropkick that helped jumpstart the match, and Greene going to the top ropeThe match went on too long and would barely be passable on a WCW Saturday Night cutting room floor..– As a match it's ½* but personally I'd rate it 1.25/10

After highlights of the match, we go backstage to Madusa having her leg seen to in the trainer's room.
