Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole are on commentary for this match. The fan chant for Lawler as they introduce the show, as it is set in his hometown of Memphis Tennesse. Goldust enters the match first, Cole calls him the most bizarre individual in WWE history, he faces Bluedust tonight, which is what Blue Meanie is calling himself. Goldust stole Head from Al Snow, Meanie brought Head back and that started this feud. Goldust also attacked Meanie during a tryout on Raw. Bluedust comes out to Goldust's music in a blonde wig and nightdress. We see Bluedust sending Goldust candy and flowers on the special Saturday night Raw the previous night, he also had blue paint cover Goldust and helped Gillberg to his first victory.
GOLDUST VS. BLUEDUST
WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre (14th February 1999)
Goldust jumps Bluedust from the start with right hands in the corner, he sends Bluedust off the ropes into a spinebuster. Lawler calls out Meanie for being a former ECW wrestler. Goldust hits another right hand, he ducks a clothesline and drops Bluedust from behind. Goldust with boots in the corner as Teddy Long begins the 5-count.He chokes Bluedust in the corner, hits an elbow to the top of the head and smothers Bluedust with his own gown. Bluedust reverses an irish whip but ducks early, Goldust hits him with an uppercut, Bluedust is able to get his robe off finally but gets decked with a clothesline. Bluedust bails to ringside, but Goldust follows and brings him back in the ring. Bluedust kicks Goldust in the leg a few times and finishes with a dropkick to the knee. “Wow, he really got up there with that dropkick(!)” - Lawler Bluedust puts Goldust in a unique spinning toehold, I never saw Terry Funk use that version, Goldust kicks Bluedust away and wedgies Bluedust and spanks him.... Yeah. Goldust takes Bluedust to the corner and sets up the Shattered Dreams but Bluedust is able to free himself and gets his boot up. Bluedust misses a moonsault (on a side note, no way is he 350lbs if Goldust is 260) Goldust hits the Curtain Call to mercifully end the match.
WINNER: GOLDUST
This was a strange opener, the fans came alive during the spanking but were pretty much sitting on their hands during the match, it was short but inoffensive, at least Blue Meanie got a payday without getting hit in the face by Bradshaw this time..– As a match it's * but personally I'd rate it 2.5/10
After the match Goldust hits Bluedust with the Shattered Dreams and gets his hand raised.
