Before the match, Jerry “The King” Lawler gets in the ring, he says he doubts Santa Claus will be coming to see the people that are in the crowd, so he brought someone special to see them and introduces Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett struts in the ring before introducing himself. Jerry hands him a plaque for 500,000 sales of his album Ain't I Great” which was a Gold award at that time. Jarrett puts himself over in a promo before Lawler invites him to join the commentary team. Dean Douglas makes his way out first, he says he wants to face Ahmed Johnson tonight but doctors have sidelined him due to his back injury. He brings out his new student Buddy Landell to replace him. Landell is a 14-year veteran making his WWF debut. Ahmed Johnson makes his way to the ring and takes a shot at Dean Douglas.
AHMED JOHNSON VS. BUDDY LANDELL
WWF In Your House 5 (17th December 1995)
Buddy Landell jumps Johnson to start, laying in some chops. Ahmed Johnson walks through them, he grabs Landell by the throat and places him on the top turnbuckle, but the referee gets between them. Landell jumps from the middle rope into a spinebuster, a Pearl River Plunge ends the match
WINNER: AHMED JOHNSON
It was a short match to get Ahmed Johnson over, not a lot to say.– As a match it's ½* but personally I'd rate it 1.5/10
After the match, Ahmed Johnson paddles Douglas. Vince McMahon dares Lawler to get an interview with Johnson. Lawler brings Ahmed down to ringside and Jarrett removes his headset before standing guard by Lawler, King asks Jarrett if he was impressed with Ahmed Johnson, “absolutely not” Ahmed Johnson gets tired of Lawler heeling it up and calls Jarrett a fake, Jeff Jarrett hits Johnson over the head with his plaque and sends him into a chair that Lawler holds for him. Jarrett gets some chair shots in and sends Ahmed Johnson into the ring steps. Jarrett uses Dean Douglas' paddle that was left behind for some reason and Ahmed ain't selling that shit. They brawl up the ramp and we go to Todd Pettingill with Razor Ramon backstage in the America Online area.
