MR. KENNEDY VS. UNDERTAKER

Mr. Kennedy is backstage before his match, he says it's the biggest match of his career to date. He spent a good portion of the last year facing Scotty 2 Hotty so that isn't hard to believe. Montel Vontavious Porter shows up and dismisses Kristal. He asks about the vaseline on Mr. Kennedy's forehead, but it's what boxers use. He says he beat Kane on Smackdown, he'll take him out of the Survivor Series match tonight and he has faith in Kennedy to win the first blood match. But if anything goes wrong he has Kennedy's back. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield are on commentary for the match. Mr. Kennedy enters first and removes some of the turnbuckle pads before introducing himself. Undertaker's music hits and Kennedy continues removing the pads. Undertaker gets down to the ring, Kennedy bails to the floor as JBL says Taker's entrance makes you reconsider everything.

Kennedy ducks out of the ring as the bell rings, Undertaker stalks him around ringside and Mr. Kennedy pounces on him as he gets back in the ring. Undertaker walks through the right hands and knocks Kennedy down with one of his own. (“Best pure striker in the game” drink.) Undertaker launches Kennedy over the top rope to the floor and sends his head into the Spanish announce table. Undertaker knocks Kennedy over the table and follows him, not letting up. Mr. Kennedy's head is introduced to the announce table again then he's thrown back to ringside. Undertaker sends Kennedy's head into the ring steps and sends him into the front row with more right hands. Undertaker headbutts Mr. Kennedy and brings him over the barricade with a hip toss. You can hear a kid in the crowd laughing at Mr. Kennedy for eating a boot to the face, he gains some momentum sending Undertaker into the ring steps. Mr. Kennedy bounces Taker's head off the Raw announce table and gets some right hands in. The Smackdown announce table is brought into the match, filling the trifecta.

Mr. Kennedy jumps from the apron but is caught by Undertaker and driven into the ring post. Undertaker sends Kennedy's head into the announce table and starts targetting the ribs and kidneys with his punches. Undertaker brings it back into the ring and keeps targetting the midsection. Mr. Kennedy is crotched on the top turnbuckle, Undertaker hits a superplex from the top rope and hits more rights to the ribs. Cole says he's trying to make Kennedy bleed internally, negating his vaseline strategy. Mr. Kennedy cuts Taker off with a low blow and hits him with right hands to the forehead, Mr. Kennedy hits the ropes and runs into another boot. Kennedy's head is sent into the “exposed steel sturnbuckle” - Cole says before more shots to the kidneys in the corner. Kennedy mule kicks Undertaker with another low blow and rolls out of the ring. He's bleeding internally, but here's MVP! MVP wipes up the blood and tries to stop the bleeding as the referee is with Undertaker in the ring.

MVP tries to walk Kennedy out of the match, telling him he doesn't need this. MVP throws Kennedy into the ring to Undertaker! Undertaker hits a right hand and sends Kennedy's head into the “sturnbuckle” I kind of want to use that for exposed turnbuckles all the time now, but I know I'll forget. Undertaker hits a right hand to the head, then another to the ribs. Undertaker boots Kennedy in the corner then hits the mounted punches. Mr. Kennedy tries to cover up, stun gun sends Undertaker into the sturnbuckle, Kennedy drives Taker's head into it. The referee checks on Undertaker but he's not bleeding. Mr. Kennedy hits right hands as MVP comes into the ring with a chair. Charles Robinson tries to take the chair off him (so, no disqualification?) Undertaker knocks Mr. Kennedy down with a right hand as MVP takes possession of the chair and hits Undertaker in the head! MVP looks shocked as we see Undertaker's forehead bleeding. He begs away from Undertaker, Mr. Kennedy attacks from the side and hits Undertaker with right hands until the referee gets back from his nap and calls the match in Mr. Kennedy's favour.

WINNER: MR. KENNEDY

This match was good for the time it got, Undertaker Dominated as he should have, with Mr. Kennedy needed shortcuts to gain any momentum. The minor gripe (there's always at least one) is that the referee played tug of was with MVP over the chair, he had no reason to be involved. We got a false finish with the internal bleeding and Undertaker got his heat back in the post-match beatdown..– As a match it's *** but personally I'd rate it 6.75/10

After the match, Mr. Kennedy continues the attack with right hands sending Undertaker to the mat, more right hands and stomps before he announces himself the winner over Undertaker. UNDERTAKER GRABS THE THROAT! Mr. Kennedy tries to fight out but Taker sends him down with a right. He sends Kennedy into the corner for a flurry of punches as Kennedy tries to cover up. Undertaker implants the chair into Mr. Kennedy's skull and he gets the fuck out. Unfortunately for him Undertaker follows and lays Kennedy on the Spanish announce table for more right hands. Mr. Kennedy is sent into the ring for a wonky Tombstone piledriver, Undertaker removes his glove for bare-knuckle rights before the referee drags Mr. Kennedy out of the ring.
