Mickie James won the WWE Divas Championship from Maryse at the previous month's Night of Champions event. Alicia Foxx beat Gail Kim on 14th September episode of Raw. Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary. This was during the “Smart, Sexy, Powerful” buzzword and Cole gets it in straight away.

They stare each other down for a while before locking up. James is backed into the ropes, but she takes Fox down. They get back to their feet still in the collar-elbow tie up and break at a stalemate. They lock up again and Fox gets an arm wringer, Mickie James cartwheels out and sweeps the leg, covering for 1. Even Michael Cole doesn't sound interested so far. Mickie James gets the arm wringer this time, but gets sent into the ropes. She blocks a hip toss and monkey flips Alicia across the ring. Alicia Fox reverses an irish whip but lands on her arse from a snapmare. Mickie James hits the running dropkick and covers for 2. Alicia Fox tries to send James into the corner but she runs into a kick. Mickie James blocks a clothesline and hits a neckbreaker before climbing to the middle rope. Alicia Fox drags her off by the ankle and that looked a rough landing. Alicia Fox covers for a nearfall. She tries to cover again but James keeps her shoulder up. Alicia Fox cranks the neck then pulls on Mickie's hair.
Mickie James fights back with forearms but runs into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. She hesitates before covering Mickie James for a nearfall. Mickie James is in a bodyscissors on the mat, but she fights out with back elbows after some more hair pulling. Alicia Fox catches James with a boot, but James responds in kind. Mickie James fires off some forearms and running clotheslines but gets sent into the corner. Alicia Fox runs into a back elbow and Mickie James sends her across the ring with a headscissors. Mickie James hits a Lou Thesz press from the top rope and there seems to be some confusion whether it should be a pin. James goes for a DDT but is sent into the turnbuckles, Alicia Fox hits a Northern Lights suplex for a nearfall. Mickie James avoids the Scissors Kick and hits a brutal looking DDT for the win.
WINNER: MICKIE JAMES (STILL CHAMPION)
.– As a match it exists. Alicia Fox wasn't as bad as I expected here, besides the Lou Thesz confusion this was a servicable match. I'm just not sure why they started it so slow going such a short time. * but personally I'd rate it 1/10
