VICTORIA (C) VS. MOLLY HOLLY

This was the now-famous match that only got on the Wrestlemania card because Molly put her hair on the line. Smackdown's Playboy-featuring match still had a spot, but Raw's women with something tangible to fight for had to bargain their way in. Welcome to the world of business! This was actually the first Women's championship match on pay-per-view of the year. Before the match a video package is shown hyping Edge's return. After this Jesse “The Body” Ventura interviews future President of the United States and Mr. McMahon's good business buddy, Mr. Donald Trump. Ironically he gives his Political Endorsement to Jesse, maybe that's where he thought he would run again? Jim Ross and Jerry“The King” Lawler are on commentary. It takes a whole 20 seconds before Lawler makes a crude “bald everywhere” joke about Molly, because why not? JR mentions it's the 7th Women's championship match in Wrestlemania history.

WWE Wrestlemania XX (14th March 2004)

The bell rings, they lock up and Victoria is backed into the ropes. They break clean and Molly Holly goes back to it, a knee to the gut and clubbing at Victoria's back follows. Victoria fights back but gets a “Diva knee strike” to the head before getting sent into the corner. Molly Holly follows with a running knee strike in the corner. Molly Holly chokes and brings Victoria out of the corner with an arm wringer until Victoria kips up and rolls Molly up, but she immediately kicks out and gets out of the ring. Victoria tries to charge but the baseball slide is side-stepped, Molly drags Victoria out of the ring and drops her with a clothesline before breaking the count and taking it back in the ring. Victoria kicks out of a cover straight away so Molly Holly hits a suplex and gets a 2 count. Molly Holly follows Victoria with elbow drops then snapmares her over, a running dropkick gets the challenger another 2 count.

Molly Holly wears Victoria down with a neck vice, but she gets to her feet. Victoria tries to elbow her way free but is taken down by her hair. Victoria kicks her away and takes her down into a jackknife cover for 2. Molly Holly runs into a right hand, then another but cuts off the third attempt with a kick to the gut. During this (relatively) decent portion of the match King and JR are of course talking about.... Panties. Yeah, anyway Molly comes off the ropes into a snap powerslam for 2. Molly drops Victoria's throat across the rope with a drop toe hold, but is cut off as she gets to the top rope. She blocks a superplex and hits a sunset flip powerbomb just as King and JR remember why they're at the Garden tonight. It looked pretty good but they messed it up and Molly got a nearfall. Molly Holly tries the Widow's Peak but it's countered by Victoria into a backslide to win the match.

WINNER: VICTORIA (STILL WOMEN'S CHAMPION)

This is a match, that happened. The neck vice was slightly irritating in the middle as it went on for too long, they didn't have enough time to slow the match down to that pace. It looked good for the most part but commentary didn't care, the company didn't really care and no matter how much they tried they couldn't bring me in to care about the match.– [*] match but personally 1/10

After the match, Molly Holly is getting her head shaved after the match. This is still going on whilst Kurt Angle makes his way out for the next match.
