OWEN HART & JEFF JARRETT VS. D'LO BROWN & TEST

Test and D'Lo Brown won a battle royal on Heat to earn this shot. D'Lo Brown enters first with Ivory, who was burnt by Terri Runnels' Cigar earlier on Heat. Test enters, he's a part of the Corporation, with no affiliation to D'Lo. They already have problems at ringside as Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler mention on commentary that they have to get along in this match to win the titles. Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart enter with Debra, the champions beat Test's stablemates Big Bossman and Ken Shamrock a couple of months ago to win the belts.

JEFF JARRETT & OWEN HART VS. D'LO BROWN & TEST ( Championship)
WWF Wrestlemania XV (28th March 1999)

D'Lo Brown and Test jump the champions, pairing off. Test sends Owen Hart into the ropes, dropping him with a big boot, he tries to clothesline Owen over the top rope but kicks him under the bottom instead, leaving D'Lo and Jeff Jarrett to start the match. Jarrett ducks a clothesline and knocks D'Lo down with a shoulder block, running into a hip toss on his return. D'Lo Brown hits a leaping forearm to knock Jarrett down but Jarrett reverses an irish whip into the corner. Jeff Jarrett runs into a back elbow and both men make a tag. Owen Hart goes straight to work with chops and right hands but runs into a kick to the gut. Test hits a falling gutwrench powerbomb for a nearfall. Test tries to lift Owen onto his shoulder from an abdominal stretch but Owen escapes to his feet and Test turns around into an enziguri. D'Lo Brown saves Test from a sharpshooter and gets the tag, clocking Owen with a right hand. D'Lo Brown slams Owen and hits the leg drop before talking trash. Owen Hart sends D'Lo into the ropes from a headlock with Jarrett getting a cheap shot from the corner. D'Lo knocks Jarrett off the apron but Owen takes advantage of the distraction hitting a spinning heel kick. Test keeps shouting at D'Lo Brown from the apron, as D'Lo's regular partner Mark Henry was taken out by the champions with a knee injury. Owen Hart hits a gutwrench powerbomb and makes the tag. They double team D'Lo Brown, sending him off the ropes into a clothesline before snapping his groin like a wishbone. We see a replay of Jarrett's cheapshot as he puts D'Lo in the ropes for the running sit-down. Owen Hart tags back in and they send D'Lo off the ropes, he ducks the clothesline and knocks the champions down with a double clothesline, before slamming each opponent. Jarrett eats a right hand and D'Lo gets decent height knocking Owen down with a calf kick but the numbers catches up. Jarrett sends D'Lo into the ropes but gets caught in the sitout slam. Owen Hart breaks up the pin and gets sent packing by Test. Debra has got on the apron, so Ivory drags her down, distracting the referee. Not Test or Owen Hart though, who just walk past the commotion. Terri Runnels and Jacquiline are at ringside now from PMS, arguing with Ivory. Test is stood there for protection too. D'Lo Brown has Jarrett set up for a powerbomb in the ring but Owen Hart saves him with a missile dropkick, Jeff Jarrett rolls through for a jackknife cover and they retain the championships.

WINNERS: OWEN HART & JEFF JARRETT (STILL CHAMPIONS)

This was a nice pallet cleanser of a match, it didn't run too long and it wasn't offensive. Besides having a payoff from Heat on the show in order to secure last minute orders though, it didn't have much purpose. – WORKRATE: 2.5/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 2.75/5 OVERALL 5.25/10
