#DIY VS. TYLER BREEZE & BULL DEMPSEY

Corey Graves and Rich Brennan are on commentary tonight. #DIY is a makeshift team, since joining WWE their careers have been linked, which continues to the time of writing 3 years later.. Before the match, Samoa Joe is making sure Finn Balor is ready for tonight's main event backstage. He says he better be for the Lucha Dragons, they want to win this for Dusty. Joe hands Balor his championship. Highlights of Enzo and Cass advancing to the quarterfinals beating Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton at a Live Event. Also, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson beat Elias Samson and Tucker Knight. The Monday Night War: Volume 2 DVD and Blu Ray gets an advertisement before a Nia Jax preview is shown. Tyler Breeze enters first The "new and improved" (according to Graves) Bull Dempsey follows him. He lost 3 lbs due to BullFit. He leans on the ropes like Breeze but it doesn't impress his tag team partner. Graves says Ciampa has a silly haircut but puts over Johnny Gargano during their entrance.

#DIY VS. TYLER BREEZE & BULL DEMPSEY
(Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round)
NXT Episode #296 (9th September 2015)

Tyler Breeze and Tomasso Ciampa start the match. Breeze takes Ciampa down and poses on the ropes. To please the fans he gets in Ciampa's face as Ciampa is getting to his feet, Tomasso Ciampa slaps Tyler Breeze, who decides to tag his partner in. The fans call Dempsey gorgeous and put over the BullFit movement as they lock up. Tomasso Ciampa gets a headlock but Dempsey sends him across the ring. Bull Dempsey knocks Tomasso Ciampa down and Tyler Breeze wants back in. He gets the tag as Dempsey holds Ciampa for a club to the back. Tomasso Ciampa pushes Breeze into the ropes from a headlock and follows him, Breeze turns around into a shoulder tackle. Tyler Breeze counters a waistlock but Ciampa gets to the ropes and sends him across the ring, Johnny Gargano tags in and spears Tyler Breeze through the ropes. Tyler Breeze avoids a charge in the corner but Gargano rolls him up, no Breeze rolls all the way through but is caught with a kick by Gargano, Johnny Gargano covers but Breeze kicks out and tags Bull Dempsey back in. Bull Dempsey is too heavy for Gargano to send over with an arm drag, Dempsey sends him into the ropes but Gargano ducks a clothesline, Johnny Gargano runs into Bull Dempsey with a cross body that has no effect. Bull Dempsey asks Breeze if he wants the tag again, but he's on the arena floor so I guess not. That distraction allowed Gargano to hit an enziguri to Dempsey and tag Ciampa back into the match.

Tomasso Ciampa lays Dempsey out with a running knee and rolls him over for the cover but only gets 2. Tomasso Ciampa elbows Dempsey in the top of the head and keeps him on the mat with a chinlock, then softens him up with a stomp. Tomasso Ciampa goes back to the chinlock as we go to commercial, advertising Edge & Christian's appearance on Stone Cold's podcast on WWE Network. As we return they are back on their feet and Bull Dempsey ducks a clothesline but Ciampa jumps on his back. Bull Dempsey sandwiches Ciampa between himself and the mat leading to a double-down. Johnny Gargano tags in and ducks a clothesline by Dempsey, dropkicking Tyler Breeze off the apron. Johnny Gargano runs into a back elbow but Bull Dempsey turns to his corner realising he's alone. Bull Dempsey jabs Gargano to chants of "Bull" punctuating with a Bionic Elbow! Bull Dempsey runs off the ropes but knocks Breeze to the floor. Ciampa tags back out of the match as Bull Dempsey is distracted, Gargano takes him down with a victory roll and Ciampa flips over pinning Dempsey with a jacknife cover as Gargano rolls out to Breeze!

WINNERS: #DIY

This is my only issue with single-elimination tournaments that have more than 8 competitors. A lot of the earlier matches tend to not mean a lot. Bull and Tyler Breeze's mistakes as a new tag team cost them the match, I get that but why did Bull have to cry about them all for 45 seconds after they happened? Luckily #DIY won and get a chance to show us more in the quarter finals, this was disappointing though. - WORKRATE: 2.25/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT: 1.75/5 OVERALL: 4/10

After the match Tyler Breeze takes his frustrations out on Bull Dempsey, attacking him after the match and leaving.
