We move on to The Vaudevillians making their entrance, it's unique and on TV it looks pretty awesome, I must say. Blake and Murphy make their entrance, this time making it easier for me to tell them apart. It still gives me 10 headaches, they have Alexa accompanying them to the ring, which is the only reason it isn't 15+ Byron Saxton calls Alexa Bliss bossy, to which Rich says it's kept the titles with Blake and Murphy, Graves points out simply friends help each other out, getting a dig at his colleagues. Alexa Bliss says it isn't a surprise The Vaudevillians couldn't get anyone to come down with them, as the fans chant for Blue Pants, The Vaudevillians are wearing blue, so of course, she comes out with her own entrance. I believe this was a “fan becomes wrestler/manager” story.
MATCH 2: BLAKE & MURPHY © VS. VAUDEVILLANS (NXT Tag Team Championships)
Simon Gotch starts with Wesley Blake who gets control of Gotch's left arm, wrenching it into a hammerlock. Gotch reverses into an arm wringer, but Blake reverses again so Gotch rolls him up for 1 as the fans chant “Blue Pants City” causing Graves to say Jay-Z would be ashamed to show up hearing it. Simon Gotch keeps control of Blake's arm but is sent into the corner, Blake charges, Gotch's boot goes up but is caught. Simon Gotch tries to shove Blake away with his foot but can't, so he kicks himself free with his other leg. Wesley Blake faceplants the mat, Simon Gotch tries to roll him into an armbar but Blake pins Gotch down for 2. Simon Gotch stays in control, keeping Blake down, holding his arm. Blake gets back to his feet momentarily but Gotch keeps him held down, tagging out to English. Gotch flips into an elbow drop before he has to leave the ring setting Blake up for a running kick by Aiden English. English covers and gets a nearfall. Wesley Blake is kept on the mat by his left shoulder and arm before its time to make it to his feet and tag out.
The tag team champions send English across the ring, they both leaps frog him but he ducks the double clothesline. Aiden English hits a Japanese arm drag on them both, Blake leaves the ring, so Muphy's shoulder is isolated now. Buddy Murphy is forced down to the mat. English wrings the arm again as Buddy Murphy gets to his feet. Buddy Murphy is sent into the corner but sends a charging English over to the apron. Aiden English tries to fight his way back into the ring but is pulled to the floor by Blake from outside. Buddy Murphy tags out, Blake drops to the floor and brings English inside the ring, Blake covers but barely gets 2. Blake works a resthold whilst we see a replay of the double team and Alexa Bliss walking away from us. Wow, thanks? Aiden English gets thrown into the champions' corner and Blake tags out after stomping his spleen out in the corner. Buddy Muphy continues the stomping, an added elbow drop gets him a 2 count. Aiden English gets trapped in a chinlock of doom because Buddy Murphy's been watching Randy Orton matches.
Aiden English gets to his feet but Murphy drives him into the corner. Wesley Blake tags back in, hitting a running elbow drop on English's neck which gets him 2. Wesley Blake goes back to a resthold on the mat, but English sends him across the ring, Blake knocks Gotch from the apron, keeping English as the legal man as Buddy Murphy enters the ring, a double neckbreaker connects on Aiden English 1, 2, no! Buddy Murphy can't believe it, he sends English into the corner and tags out, English gets a boot up in the corner but it's caught but the champions butt heads. Aiden English slowly crawls to his corner, Blake tries to keep English in by his ankle but gets kicked back into the corner Murphy is back to being the legal man and he walks into Simon Gotch in a hot tag. Both champions end up in opposite corners and each eat a running forearm. Blake gets hit with a running forearm via miscommunication, sending him out to the floor. Gotch has Murphy on his shoulders, but Murphy elbows out as English tags back in. Aiden English is crotched on the top turnbuckle so Buddy Murphy takes a breather. Aiden English blocks a superplex from the middle rope. Wesley Blake climbs up the corner to assist his partner but Simon Gotch slips underneath them with a powerbomb, Aiden English hits Here Comes English for the closest nearfall of the match.
Simon Gotch gets the tag but Alexa Bliss has something to say from the apron, Blue Pants brings her down to the floor chasing her around ringside whilst the challengers just watch, Bliss kicks Blue Pants away as Bliss slides is the ring and confronts The Vaudevillians. Blue Pants grabs Alexa's arm and hits her with a terrible slap and a worse takedown. Buddy Murphy is back on his feet, he sends English out to the floor, getting a surprise roll up on Gotch, but he still only gets 2. Simon Gotch hits a rolling European uppercut into a swinging neckbreaker by English, Simon Gotch covers giving us new NXT Tag Team champions.
WINNERS: THE VAUDEVILLIANS
Blake and Murphy controlled 90% of the match giving Gotch a hot tag, then Blue Pants showing in equal measure that she's there to equalize Bliss and that she shouldn't be given a physical role. Basic match, but a nice moment with a title win. WORKRATE: 1.75/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 1.5/5 OVERALL: 2.25/10
The Vaudevillians celebrate their victory as Sleeping with Sirens are thanked for providing tonight's theme tune “We like it loud” NXT Champion Finn Balor and Neville are shown being welcomed to the arena by Cesaro as they arrived.
