This is the first and only time the ECW championship has been defended at Wrestlemania. Last year at Wrestlemania 23 the brand's champion Bobby Lashley was in the “Battle of the Billionaires” against Umaga. Joey Styles and Tazz are on commentary for this match. Kane won a battle royal on the preshow to earn this shot so Chavo Guerrero has had minimal time to prepare. Chavo makes his entrance first, and he gets in the ring. He hands the belt to the referee and prepares for the match in his corner awaiting his opponent. Kane's music plays, and he shows up behind Chavo!

Kane chokeslams Chavo as the bell rings and wins the championship in 9 seconds.
That just solidifies WWE's attempt at ECW as a brand. Just a missed opportunity. Not a lot to say and again the content was a move and cover so there's a very low ceiling on the rating I can give it. It didn't amount to much and ECW was pretty much dead at this point. – Rating: 1.2/10
